Parking brake and central locking faults

I have experienced some problems with Parking brake fault and central locking faults coming on together each morning. Each morning this week I have had both of these messages that come on and stay on the whole journey to work, about 10 miles and then when I leave to go home neither message.

Not sure how they are connected but now four times they have come on together. any ideas how they can be connected?

How cold was it in the morning when you set off? Could be linked to a slightly low battery voltage as it cranks when cold, a bit warmer at night and it turns over easier, voltage doesnt drop so much, no error messages.

I used to get occasional ABS faults on my last A4 B6 when I started it and it was below freezing, the colder the morning the more likely it was to appear. VCDS scans showed no faults.

Forecast for next week is considerably warmer, it'll be interesting to see if the issue goes away.

Could be that the factory fitted AGM battery is on its way out, they last approx 5 years.
