Hi all. My first post so nice to meet you!
I am the owner of a battered old (2007) Sharan that serves me faithfully as a builders van. I was recently enjoying a cup of tea whilst dodging the rain in my car when I unfortunately spilt some of the tea on the dashboard where it proceeded to enter the right hand dashboard speaker and dribble down towards the fuse box. Oh no! Several seconds later the windows rolled them selves down and the hazard lights came on. Doh!!!
This was several weeks ago and ever since, whenever I turn the ignition off the front windows roll themselves down. Additionally, it will regularly flash the hazards and roll the windows down whilst parked up. Rather frustrating if it's raining.
I have tried shoving a hairdryer into the fuse box and drying it out that way but to no avail.
Can anyone point me to the possible culprit that I can access and try and dry out? Presumably there is tea shorting out some doohickey control box somewhere in the depths of the dashboard. Help, please. I don't want to scrap it but it's becoming unusable unless I resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance. Chris

The tea has got into the body control computer and the various chemicals have dried and ate shorting relays and circuits. The only solution is for the BCM to come out, opened up and throughly washed with electrical cleaner which MAY bring it back to normality.
