    Default Driving when I stop I at traffic engine is making rattling sound – 17-12-2023,06:11 PM
    Just bought a new car when I was driving and then stop at traffic light I have a habit where my foot is on brake and sometimes with clutch in . I hear rattling sound coming from from the front. Any idea what it is ? I literally bought the car today 2016 1.6 diesel

    Does it rattle with the clutch released when idling in neutral? What is the VIN?

    Yh it does when there’s no clutch it’s a fast rattle sound n goes when i rev or drive it’s intermittent

    Your car was factory fitted with a dual mass flywheel and from what I can tell this is the fault. In your message you mentioned a video, can you post this using Youtube?

    Part of that says to me DMF, part of it the poly V belt vibrating due to a failed alternator clutch.
