Hi all I currently have a Mk5 golf with no heater blower working it keeps blowing the 40amp fuse IV tried a new heater blower out of another golf it's not that IV even replaced the resistor I have tried unplugging the blower and turning it on and it gets to 1,2 fine but doesn't work the blower and when I try setting 3,4 it just instantly blows the main 40amp fuse for the blower I am so lost on what it mite be any help would be greatly appreciated especially since the snow and ice is here.

So it blows fuse SC40 on speeds 3 and 4 even with the motor unplugged? What about when the resistor is unplugged?

No it doesn't blow at all on any setting but the fuse only blows when it hits setting 3,4

I can only see that being damaged wiring from control panel to resistor or a short inside the control head.

I would remove the control panel and with the wiring unplugged from the panel, resistor and fan, check for a short to ground on each wire.
