Pollen Filter Housing Gasket

I have a problem, (apparently fairly common) of water coming into the drivers side footwell in my Mk4 1.9 TDI, 2003 reg.
My first stop in trying to cure this problem is checking the pollen filter housing gasket. I did and it’s in a bit of a state, so will need to be replaced. This is where I’ve hit a bit of a brick wall, I can’t seem to find anyone selling replacement gaskets.
can any forum members help by providing a link or phone number? TIA.

Water into the drivers side can’t be the pollen filter gasket which is still listed by VW under part number 1H0 819 165 which means it is the Golf 3 part carried over and costs £9.60 but it is useless at stopping water so we use a none setting Butyl rubber sealing cord and you can get a roll which will last a lifetime from Amazon.
