My 2013 Golf GT 1.4 DSG has been perfect. Its only done 54,000 miles and is immaculate both cosmetically and mechanically. However, yesterday I noticed a slight clunky change when pulling away in drive. Difficult to describe but on checking by stopping and pulling away on a clear road I noticed that the gear change from 1st to 2nd happens almost instantly and there is a slight "clunk", very slight. The car picks up OK after that and the rest of the gear changes are smooth. Never noticed it before and having driven the car for 8 years I assume this is new as I would have noticed it before. Does the same in sport mode as well.

I haven't tried manual as by definition it wont be a problem. I have a Carly OBD scanner and its doesn't pick up any codes in the transmission section. Anyone any ideas ?

I live near Basingstoke and have never used a DSG specialist before so if anyone knows one that would be great. I dont trust my local dealer and not sure of normally excellent independents ability with DSG although they did do a gearbox service, oil, 3 months OK. But thats not difficult of course
