Afternoon, typically just 2 weeks out of warranty I've had an engine light appear on the dash. I've driven 15 miles to work this morning with no issues, I didn't even notice the light until about 10 mins in to the journey.

I had my obdeleven in the car so I plugged it in when I got to work, it's come up with the following.

Oil Pressure Regulation Valve (electrical error)
    Fault Code: P164E00
    Status: Static

    Cylinder 2 Glow Plug Circuit
    Fault Code: P067200
    Status: Static

I've cleared the errors and the dashboard light has gone off, I restarted it a couple of times afterwards and it's remained off. I know it's likely to come back on, is it just a case of replacing the glow plugs and the oil pressure regulation valve? Is anyone able to point me in the direction of the correct parts and possibly a guide on how to fix it myself (assuming I can :-)).

    Vehicle Identification Number WVGZZZ5NZHW823949

    Many thanks,

    Nick.

I had all the plugs changed rather than just the 1 showing the fault, all good.

I also had 2 sensors / regulation valves changed (genuine VW parts) but it's still showing the fault, any suggestions on what else to check?

We have seen this a lot and cured the fault by fitting the revised part number valve 04L 906 455 B which costs £132.54 from VW.

Hi Crasher, thank you as always.

I was going to see an Auto Electrician after Christmas but might give this a go first.

    Many thanks,

    Nick.
