Quick update for anyone else experiencing this type of issue with their Bitdi and in particular getting the P200200(Particulate Trap Bank1-Efficiency bellow threshold) fault code along with the P2463(excessive soot accumulation) I have now replaced the EGR Valve and the gaskets that go along with it and this seems to have solved the issue. The EGR valve/cooler and gaskets were in the region of £950 from Audi.
In my case I went about the wrong way thinking that it would be the DPF that was blocked so got that taken off the car and cleaned also which I suppose didn’t hurt but it most definitely was not the problem in my case.
The EGR valve looked absolutely blocked with soot and it’s most likely why it stopped functioning correctly.Although I purchased a new DPF pressure sensor I never replaced it as it’s a bit of mission to get to.
Whilst the car was having the EGR replaced I also got the injector copper and rubber washers replaced for peace of mind.
Hopefully this helps someone else with this problem.

Hi, I know this is an older post, but I have the exact same car (BiTDi 2015) and have the exact same 2x fault codes. Also had the same diagnosis saying it's the EGR cooler. Would you know what part number the replacement was, and how much you paid etc ? Just looking for any help tbh as the OEM is £1k and labour £500

    thanks
    David

I’ve replaced the EGR valve/cooler and the problem went away, fault codes never returned and the car went back to driving normally again.I was experiencing limp mode all the time prior to the EGR replacement. If I remember correctly the part cost around £1020 and the labour was about the same as what you’ve been quoted.
I think this is a common problem with the BITDI’s especially if driven in town.I have attached some photos of the EGR valve I’ve bought as I’m not to sure which one of these numbers will be the part No you need.Hopefully this helps.

Ah thanks for the reply - that's really kind. Yes same as me, it's in limp mode and I mostly do town driving, so understandable really.

Because the photos are compressed I can't quite make out the number on the EGR. It'll be something like 059131515FQ or DP etc. Is it something you can see on your original image ?

thanks again for taking the time.

IMG_6085.jpgIMG_6086.jpgI believe the Part No is 059 131 515 FR.
i have zoomed in on the photos if that helps at all.
Hopefully Your DPF will be Ok because in my case I had to clean the DPF also as it got a bit clogged from the EGR not working properly.Hopefully yours will be Ok.If not it’s easy enough to remove as long as you can get under the car.Drop it off to a garage that has a DPF clean service and they will clean for you. That may set you back another £200-£300 depending on where you have it done.
Go with the EGR first and see if that fixes it and if it does than no need to worry about the DPF.
