Hi. I recently bought a Passat B6 2.0tdi 170bhp. I’ve noticed that when I go over the brown of a small hill on the downhill part at a certain angle the engine seems to almost cut power. It’s almost like there’s an angle sensor limiting fuel or something. It only happens for a second or so and then it’s back to normal driving.

Any ideas what this could be?

Your foot briefly coming of the accelerator maybe, I have experienced this and this is my diagnosis.

No it’s definitely not that. I did think maybe it was overly sensitive throttle pedal but it happens when I’m still pressing it.
