Hi guys,
So I have this project car that I have had for a long time and parts are sometimes difficult to get, as you know. I have tried to figure out the stiff pedal and now I am wondering if I can swap some of the problem parts out with any newer years that the car will recognize the new parts or they can be programed to be recognize? (oh and I have tried to lube the cable and I have replaced the pedal) any help would be much loved!!
Does anyone know if another year cable can be switched?
Or is there a newer year carb I can swap out? (maybe it will have more adjustment)

Background, I have rebuilt the top end of this car, heads, valve job, water pump, steering rack and pinion, coil, plugs, water pump, thermostat, timing belt, cam bearings, main camshaft seal, plug wires, starter, torque converter, all vac lines, fuel pump, rebuilt the door lock pump, battery, O2 sensors, oil pump, brake system main computer, transmission module thing and plug (that was not fun), brakes, tires, headliner, I think thats about it...

Car is a 1996 Audi A4 Quattro (B5)

Oh and I do not understand why there is no mechanical attachment from the plastic intake in the back where it hooks to the carb, just a rubber gasket.....
