    Hi all.

My Q5 8R satNav appers to have lost its way. It thinks the car is about 20 to 30 miles away from where it is.
According to the satnav we do a lot of off roading.

Tried a hard drive reset, no good.

Is there a way to do a satnav reset please.

    Q5 8R 2013 3.0 MMI 3+.

    Thanks. Dave H

This seems to be very common these days. Is it restricted to Audi i wonder?
GPS is owned and maintained by the US army and there are a couple of wars on.
Russia do have their own set of satellites (cant remember the name of the system), but rumors have it, that is been compromised...
Big pinch of salt required here I could be putting 2 and 2 together to get 44...
When GPS was first made available to the public I heard that it did have an offset that randomly changed and only the US army knew the correction, again subject to being laughed at... lol

Glonass is the Ruski system. The usual fault is the GPS antenna getting water inside.

    Hi.

Thanks all for looking and advice but got it going.

First done a hard start on mmi, no good. Then disconnected battery for 30m. Then went into green screen to check sat no 12 seen 10 used. Before battery disconnect I had 0, also reset start address. This seemed to do the trick.

    Hope that might help someone.
