A3 CAYB Injector swap has increased the Injection deviation on 2 cylinders

I had a 1.6 CAYB A3 towed in last week non runner, plugged in VCDS no faults except a gear change selector sensor, i tried to start it and it indeed would not start, however on the 3rd attempt it fired into life but wouldnt rev and would stall, it restarted though, i have not had any 1.6 CR TDi’s in previously and hear there a pig for injectors so i checked the deviation, number 2 injector was way out -1.5 deviation number 1 was 0.2-0.3 as is number 3 and number 4 was 0.5-0.7
so i purchased a new injector from Diesel Bob £375 delivered, fitted it yesterday and coded it, now number 2 is -2.5 deviation and number 4 is also pretty much the same, looking on google it suggests there is an injector deviation adaption in basic settings but this didnt work, and others are saying it isnt for CAYB engines, so anyone else had this issue? There is a bit of diesel knock when you blip the throttle, i also read there was something in ODIS but i couldnt find anything in ODIS Service.
If anyone is able to assist, or do i need to replace number 4 too?

On the 1.6tdi cayc the high pressure fuel pump can fail if run dry. Worth checking for swarf in the fuel filter housing. If I remember correctly from a few years back the vehicle starts at around 4200psi and then settles back to around 3300psi fuel pressure at idle


Also new injector sealing copper washers as well as new clamping bolts for refitting are essential

Hi, yes the owner confirmed it has not run out of fuel and there was half a tank on delivery to me.
I fitted a new filter before the injector was swapped no sign of swarf,
I always fit a new stretch bolt and the new injectors come with new copper washer n seal.
The injector seats were also spotless before refitting.

I follow CAY issues quiet closely. The vcds adaption feature is prone to not working right. I don't know if vcds completed its adaption for you or not. In the case of it didn't operate properly, which is quiet common, this tech has a great guide on how to make it work

Yeah thats what i watched last night, a lot of comments say that doesn’t work on CAYB.
