Had brake error light on dash, got round to taking it into dealers, they say root cause is faulty servo pressure sensor, but because it has been driven for "too long" since light came on, then the ABS unit has locked itself out, £3k to replace

This does seem to agree with a video I saw on youtube. That video says some ECU/ABS specialists can reset the ABS unit, does anyone have any suggestions for who to contact? East Midlands if possible ...

I can provide VCDS scans of the fault codes.

Yes it happens, there should be a sterner dash warning. But don't worry, the Co2 reduction the system has made will be your £3k contribution to "saving the planet", well one of your contributions.

Just a follow-up, got my local non-main dealer to remove the pump, I picked it up and sent it off to ECUtesting, they repaired and returned it, the garage re-fitted along with new pressure sensor and replaced fluid/bled the brakes.

    All good.
