MMI Problems

RS4 2018 build date.
My MMI would randomly reboot itself with anything from several days to 2 or 3 minutes between reboots.
It has now reached a point that it practically continues to reboot itself all the time.

The current version is MHI2Q_ER__AUG22_P5092, MU Software 1329

If I do a VCDS Applications, Optical Bus Diagnostic. I get a fail or this test may not be supported responce.
I think I have a CAN Gateway fault and have a second hand module on its way but I'm gathering as many pearls of wisdom I can get before it arrives.
For example am I getting the correct responce from the Optical Bus test? Is it faulty or is that test not actually supported on my car.
