    I have got a perfectly standard Passat 190 r type fitted with ACC suspension on the screen with the button by the gearstick ect. I can change the settings ect. BUT, not only can I not tell much difference.. when I needed a rear shock absorbers I was told I have a normal shock absorber, with no wires. Given that vw gets very cranky electronically and would pop up a fault if simply disconnected how can this be ? I can imagine someone fitting standard shockers and even turning off something with obdeleven - but I don't understand why no wires can be found to the shocks. A few years ago I got a spec print out for my car from the dealership and it definitely says I have it. So.. thoughts gentlemen ?

    Acc = adaptive cruise control
    Dcc = dynamic chassis control
    The Button by the gear stick changes the driving modes, this changes more than just suspension so is possible to have this without Dcc
    If you don’t have an electrical solenoid on the shockabsorbers you don’t have Dcc
