Hi, I’m having a total mare getting the alternator out of my car. I’ve followed the Erwin guides, removed the v belt tensioner and all the other bits and pieces.
I’ve got the two bolts out of the alternator and expected to be able to manipulate it but it’s stuck firm and won’t budge.

I’ve read various things about the bushes sliding into the mounting bracket and having to be pushed back or is not just it’s been in there for 8 years and has bonded with the other metal work !

In short: does anyone have any tips or advice on getting the darned thing out ?

    Thanks !

Take a stronger tool (small crowbar or a thick long screwdriver) to get it start moving. Once it starts moving it should start to free up
