    Evening all

I hope someone can help, my car (A6 C7 2.0 TDi S Line Black Edition) went in for an MOT last week, it failed on a couple of mechanical issues which is booked back in to get fixed this week, however, another failure was due to an airbag light being present on the dash/display.

This was not present when I dropped it off, so have no idea why it came on, as per the title, the error is:

B120F11 (9572113) Igniter for Front Passenger AirBag Release Valve Short to Ground

The garage tried to clear it, as have I since, I’ve done the usual checks on the seat harnesses, took the glovebox out and done some harness checks (all look okay), for life of me I cannot home in on the problem.

Has anyone had this error/problem before and help?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi All

Just thought I’d share what I did to resolve this and clear/reset the error.

i disconnected the battery, removed the glovebox and disconnected the connectors for both airbag igniters (will upload photo), reconnected the battery and then scanned for fault codes (2 new ones presented themselves which was expected), tried to clear but didn’t work.

Disconnected the battery again and then reconnected both airbag igniter connectors, reconnected the battery, rescanned codes and then tried resetting, all reset and airbag light went away.

I then turned the ignition off on a few times to ensure the reset survived and it did.

All remained well and got my mot retest done and passed, happy days.

Note; the connectors for the airbag igniters are quite fiddly to get off.
