Spent the last couple of weeks (in my spare time) retrofitting High Line TPMS - module in each wheel well and antenna in roof lining -

Activated everything with VCDS and hey presto......

    TPMS.jpg

Ordered 5 sensors from Ebay - part # 7PP907275F - for some unknown reason only 1 sensor turned up yesterday - so I decided to put this in a wheel anyway, I'll do the rest when they arrive.

Initialised the tyres in the MMI and went for a drive - after 30 mins nothing showing on the screen -

    My 2 questions:
Do all sensors have to be present in the tyres for them to be recognised.
Do the sensors need 'programming' or 'learning'

    thanks in advance

It would be even cooler if it worked!!

Mine also has a sensor in each wheel - and a monitor sender behind each wheel arch - and antenna in the roof lining.
I believe the version you have has a sensor in each wheel but only 1 monitor sender which is behind the rear right wheel arch and an antenna in the roof lining.
The main difference is the control unit under the passenger side dash - yours will be software v. 4F0 910 273A ( or poss B) mine is 4F0 910 273C - this is the bit that gives the graphics in the MMI

I did some reading up and looked on Kufatec, they seem to suggest only on 2gHigh but seen this on RS6’s so not convinced.

Ah right - yours must be indirect TPMS +

This system uses the ABS system to calculate if there is air loss in your wheels........

it has pressure sensors in each wheel, so its not the ABS version. That doesn’t have the sensors in the wheels to my knowledge. Or a separate control module Shame as i would have like to upgrade it for a pressure and temp display.

So I think I have got to the bottom of the problem...........

I put my spare wheels (without sensors) on today and tied 4 (new) x pressure sensors into the wheel arches - initialised the tyres in MMI and went for a drive.....90 seconds later they showed up in the display - obviously they were showing 0 PSI but most importantly the temperature was showing!!

So next I fitted one of my original wheels (with sensor) and this is what I got.

    TPMS-MMI.jpg

I did this with the other 3 wheels- fitting them 1 by 1 on the rear right........I have 2 duff sensors! - these are brand new from Audi but they show ok on my TPMS scanner!

looks like the MMI needs to see all 4 sensors before it will show on the screen.
