    Hi all,

Hoping someone could shed some ideas on the current state of my 2012 2.0 TDI Q5.

    • Issue began with limp mode and p0087, fuel filter and glow plugs were replaced.
    • No change. HPFP was checked for particles, looked immaculate.
    • High pressure rail sensor and valve replaced. HPFP regulator replaced. Same issue.
    • Garage replaced injectors seals/washers.
    • Now there is a rough idle which disappears when ""[*IDE02703*] Reset learned values quant. meter. unit and press. contr. valve"" is activated, p0087 remains

Could the HPFP have died without showing particles? Are the injectors dead?

    Any help is appreciated,
    Nic

approach seems to be a bit hap hazzard - surely the first thing to do would be to read the live data and test the pressure?
If your HPFP went it wouldn't run at all..

Should have been more specific regarding the diagnostics, my apologies.
The car runs and moves, however any acceleration gives the common code saying the pressure isn't high enough.
The fuel pressure reg error only very occasionally shows.

Sorry about the text dump, was not sure how to upload it seperatley.

anyone look at the pump in the tank? run an output test on it to make sure the HPFP is getting fuel to pressurise?

After changing the fuel filter, was the system bled using the intank lift pump for at least 30 seconds before attempting to start the engine?

Yes it was primed after fuel filter installation. Apologies for the delay in response.

I have just today ran an output test and achieved 2,800ml over 60 seconds (online suggests 3000ml/minute) so I assume this is good enough in regards to room for error. I then added some fuel to the tank to get the car over a 1/4 full as I had heard people encountering p0067 under a quarter of a tank. Still no change and code is immediately thrown upon pulling away.

Looks to me like you need a new HPFP.
