    Hi,

I have a MK7 Golf and the driver side rear indicator has stopped working and I received a warning about it on the dash. I assumed it would simply be a case of getting a new bulb, which I did, but it still didn't work.

I have tried taking the perfectly-working passenger side grey bulb "board", if that's the right word and plugging it into the driver side wiring, but the indicator doesn't work on that side either. I've also took the driver side bulb board and plugged it into the passenger side wiring and the indicator doesn't work in that combination either, so it's almost as if there's an issue with both the driver side bulb board AND the wiring on that side?

When trying all of these combinations, the actual main rear tail light bulb does work in all instances - it is only the indicator bulb that doesn't work.

I have uploaded some photos at Imgur: The magic of the Internet .

One observation is that on the driver-side, there is a green/black wire that looks like it has been cut, which I think is due to the installation of an after-marked tow bar, but this was done by the previous owner and I've had no indicator issues until now, so I assume it's not related.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem please?

    Thank you!

You need to rejoin the black/green wire with a heat shrink crimp butt connector.
