Hi, as I don't really need vcds, would the Ancel VD500 be a good bet for my A6 C6 4F 3.0l quattro?
Basically I would need it to do basic scan (car has no issues), reset service message, fill fuel filter after renewal and open/close epb for rear disc and pads renewal.
Would you go for it or can you suggest a better one at a reasonable price?
If you have the Ancel I would really appreciate your feedback on it.
    Thanks!

I have obdeleven used it alot on my A6 C6 4F 3.0l quattro- you can get a basic one to do what you want, its then got one touch apps that are pay as you go if you want to turn things on or off, or you can upgrade to pro to program.

VCDS also do a lite version now, I know its restricted to 1 or 2 cars but not sure what else

If it does what you want, that would be a yes, and like me these days it gives you an idea of when a job is too big.
whereas you need the expensive kit to do series work, does your skill set / garage match that?

I already have obdeleven, but mine only does diagnostic, it doesn't reset anything and doesn't put things in service mode.
Perhaps I need to look into it better and see if there's an app which lets me do what I need.
Which app is the pay as you go?
    Thanks

its all the same app, the pay as you go bit is the one click apps, on average they are 10 credits a pop, £15 for 100 credits. then if you upgrade your account to pro you get access to coding. There is another one above that that gives you free one click apps, its all annual subscriptions. I got my pro about 6 or 7 years ago and its for life .
