Air conditioning has stopped working 1 fault code.

Hi all,

My air con has stopped working , I have the 2 zone climate control. When I press the “AC” button it lights up as normal, but does not deliver cold air .

Thanks crasher will post a scan today.

I should have said the fault is there before you turn on air con or blower without using the A/C.

ie turn on the ignition without engine running , run scan and the fault is there , then if you clear the fault it comes straight back.

Your old interface is letting you down here but these missing message codes can be seriously hard to track down even with the dealer system ODIS. U1111 shows a data exchange error in the CAN BUS system which is really specialist work to track down.

The VCDS HEX NET is the best system I know of, the dealer system ODIS is awful to use but can help you dig deeper with these annoyingly vague missing messages codes.

The system on our Golf 5 era car is kind enough to display the fault codes on its own display if you press the right buttons. Does the newer one do that?

……the garage checked the air con , and found a tiny hole a pipe which had let the gas out over a period of time.

all sorted now, however the errors are still there ??

These missing messages codes are really starting to annoy me, seeing them almost daily and the only way to track them down is with ODIS in Guided Fault Finding which slow and irritating.
