    Crasher, mucker...
My rear propshaft uj has gone and I wondered if you could help trace a part number thats correct? its too big a chunk to take a gamble on..I've a 2.0bitdi auto late 2012 and from what I see, the manual and auto part numbers are the same? 2H0521102H S or K, which is the same as the AP or AF suffixed variants....and same as 2H6521102C.. I put my VIN into 7ZAP and it came back as a 2013 golf 4 motion !!!!

    Any clarity greatly appreciated.

Hya Crasher, Apologies for the delay, been on the road. My vin is WV1ZZZ2HZDH002576..

I took the shaft/s off and the rear shaft joint is destroyed, on the front shaft part, both the front and rear joints have a distinct stiction point about the neutral positions. So I conclude the only way to inspect a shaft assembly as a possible source of vibration is to remove it and manipulate the UJ's, feeling for abnormal wear and stiction etc as described. I hope this is of use to someone. I'll report back once the shaft is replaced.

Originally 2H0 521 102 AP, replaced by 2H6 521 102 E £1150 +VAT genuine, we use Dunning and Fairbank, they did an Audi S2 shaft for us a few months back. Avoid Baily Morris at all costs, I sent the S2 shaft to them originally, they signed for it and then lost it... the only thing they would do is make me a new one for £1200 if I provided them with a drawing! I had to buy another used shaft and had D&F rebuild it but we dropped it off and picked it up personally.
