    Hi all,
Hope you can help, I have a '67 plate Golf TSI 1.0 which has done 50k miles which has recently had issues moving into 3rd gear
It has been in at a Golf garage & they have said it needs the gear box selector replacing, charging me £1.2k for investigation plus £1.7k for the replacement selector
I only bought the car from them 4 years ago (was a year old) and seems crazy to me I'm having to shell out £3k on the gearbox with how little miles it has done
They are saying this is not a manufacturers fault so aren't willing to do anything on goodwill, does anyone know if this is a known fault? I have been searching online but cant find anything so far
    thanks very much!
    LP
