    Hi all - new to this forum and posting a HELP on behalf of my wife.

    A1 1.4TSI owned for 12 months and runs faultlessly. MOT failed today with multiple issues with emmisions including;

    Exhaust hydrocarbon content 2nd fast idle
    Exhaust carbon monoxide at idle
    Exhaust carbon monoxide after 2nd fast idle
    Exhaust lambda reading after 2nd fast idle

    Garage is local and not a main dealer. They did a diagnostic and found the following fault codes, which they dont know what to do with;

    P030200 Cycl2 misfire
    P030400 Cyl4 misfire
    P030300 Cycl3 misfire
    P030100 Cycl1 misfire
    P030000 Random multiple cylinder misfire
    P013300 O2 sensor circuit bank1 sensor 1 slow response

    Garage phoned Audi dealer in york who queried if can belt had been replaced as could be source of issues. Service records show not done, car has 50k on the clock.
    Car was not purchased from Audit dealer.

    Could this be just the lambda sensor faulty or the more serious cam belt thing?

    Thoughts on getting into main dealer as local garage is a bit lost?

    Any advice really very welcome as my wife is going crazy!!

    TIA

    The 1.4 EA211 engine isn’t as prone to cam timing errors after a cam belt change as the 1.5EVO engine so for me those codes look like a large air leak.

    Ah ok.
    Where do you think an air leak could come from - if it was the exhaust then wouldnt this have been noticed by the garage or be heard blowing?
