Whilst I’ve got the injectors off my A7 3.0 TDI I thought about cleaning them internally. I’ve seen a few sites that talk about powering them up so they open and then clean them with spray injector cleaner etc. Is this a good idea?
I could use the vagcom to activate them but obviously don’t want to damage them.

    Thanks in advance.

IMHO no - I would just run good fuel, it pays for itself, only a little in MPG return but in the long run keeps things cleaner and more trouble free.

You can have them professionally cleaned but I tend to go by the old rule "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

I will second that - i spent a full day tuning a race car a few years back (standard 1liter 70s mini) and it was running sweet, I even manged the coin trick where you balance one on its side on top of the engine and give it a small rev.
I then put some slick 50, i think, in, and went home in a foul mood made it run really lumpy.
