Hi all..

I have polo GTi 2011 DSG 93k

around September 2021 I took my car to a local garage to have timing chain (water pump as well I think) fixed as engine management light kept coming on & flashing for a while and was sluggish changing gears was slow etc, finally Found the issue and got it fixed…. after going to 2 other garages who couldn’t find the issue,

since then the car has be running fine drove it from Suffolk to Devon & back last July then in November time last year the engine management light came on after few days of heavy rain & puddles…

took it to my mate works in a local garage very good said the issue was to with water but as the light has gone off & car runs fine to come back when might comes on again…

light didn’t come back on till about 3 weeks ago went off after a few mins then back on yesterday took a day to go but flint went off, took it back to my mate again who said there an issue with the water pump & sensor need to be replaced will cost around £450 but car safe to drive if no other symptoms
