No windscreen washer function!!!

Hi

So today I was trying to operate the windscreen washer function on my passat but to no avail

Upon diagnosis I checked the washer motor itself by connecting it straight to the battery and that works fine so it could be a faulty switch

All fuses are okay

Is there a relay for that system?

Could there be a break in the wire?

Any info would be appreciated thank you

You need to operate the pump relays J729 and J730 using a diagnostic system in output tests of the body control module (address 09) and see if they click, if they do, check the wiring from the BCM to the pump.

I don’t have a diagnostic system but I could find the relays and check for some sort of continuity via multi meter

Where is the bcm?

Sorry the bcm is what holds all the relays?

They are integral to the BCM, without a diagnostic system this is going to be extremely difficult.
