Golf Mk6 1.6 Tdi Bluemotion has started cutting out.

Just replaced the thermostat housing and took it for a test drive.
Temperature up to 90 degrees at last and oil temp similar....been sometime.

The procedure was a bit tricky to say the least.

Had to move the camshaft loom and the crankshaft sensor loom in the process. I may have damaged the camshafts loom inadvertently.

Ran a VCDS scan and will post an edited version below.
Changed the bulbs to LED ones so those codes keep coming up.
All the other codes are new.

My thoughts are I will need to check the camshaft loom for problems, maybe the increased temp around the thermostat had affected the resistance in the wires that I may have damaged?

But I'm not sure why the engine would cut out completely when I'm driving...very dangerous it seems.
The RAC chap first thought the injectors were to blame but he ran his diagnostics and they were fine.
He followed me home, only 5 miles, and the car behaved perfectly.
I ran it on idle this morning and it cut out again after 32 minutes of idling.

My initial suspicion would be the crank speed sender G28, they cut the engine and often don't leave a code.

Well, spent the morning under the car, took off the fan housing, air pipes from intercooler and released the 2nd water pump to get to the G28 crank speed sensor.

Lo and behold, corrosion on the pins...see pics.

Cleaned them up, put it all back together, started the car up to normal temp....no codes, no cut-out...relief.

Will take for a test drive when I've warmed up and have the courage!!!

Edit...took the car for a burn on the M1...no problems...relief
