Hi everybody. I'm looking for a part number for a 2005 Audi A6 C6 3.0 tdi exhaust downpipe gasket.

I've already bought one which I could use but I know it's not the right part as the holes aren't quite right.

If somebody could get me a P/N to search or a link to the correct part that'd be great!

That's the one I've already got and it's not quite right. Where did you get the part number?

The holes will have to be elongated and it's debatable whether or not the centre diameter is a couple mm too small to clamp properly between the two parts. Basically the gasket is about 5% too small.

Looks more likely. You just don't spot the minor differences easily until you're looking for them. It seems like the centre of this one is a bit larger if you look at them both closely.

I bought this one. The bolt holes are perfect but the centre bore is too large. I require a centre bore of about 60mm. The first one I got is 56mm and the second one is 74mm. The old gasket has flaked apart but what's left of it can be measured as 60mm centre.

Using the reg / VIN didn't work previously.

I've gone for ELRING 422.900. It actually looks more like the original which is the flaky sandwich type gasket rather than the metal type. This Elring gasket is listed as compatible so third time lucky!
