Fabia II 1.6 TDi EGT Sensor faults

Hi all,

I have a 2011 Fabia Monte Carlo with the CAYC engine and have just had a used DPF installed. The mpg is pretty bad and I'm not sure if it is regenerating or not. The engine management light came on yesterday, but has remained off so far since a reset, the scan is below.
Does anyone have the resistance and output figures for the sensors that they wouldn't mind sharing please? I'll try to get this tested today.

If those codes come back I would start by fitting and calibrating a new GENUINE pressure sensor 059 906 051 C and probably EGT sensors 3 03L 906 088 HE and 4 03L 906 088 HL as if these were transferred from the old DPF, this often upsets them. Aftermarket pressure sensors have caused me a lot of trouble so I won’t use them but good brand EGT sensors such as Pierburg are fine.

Thank you. I will monitor this, as today is an entirely different story.
I averaged 55mpg into work with mixed rural, A road and dual carriageway use and saw 61.8mpg at one point when cruising, so today, it’s behaving itself and much improved since the leaking exhaust was replaced. Odd how there is such a difference between two days though.
This is pointing to an intermittent electrical component fault, quite possibly those sensors.
Could it be that the system has now reconfigured itself with those sensors?

Temperature readings for sensors 3 and 4 are consistently max range, so effectively 999C. I have not had a reoccurrence of the DPF differential pressure fault, so I'll look to getting a couple of good quality sensors. Pierburg, you say are fine, I'm also looking at an online site with many brand options, including Hitachi, VEMO and Meyle. large price differentials too.
Aside from these sensor faults, is there any known usual suspect that could cause fluctuating mpg without throwing a code?
I've tested the usual suspects, brakes are not binding, fuel filter replaced and air filter checked to be dirty, but not blocked.

Are these the definite positions relating to the part numbers? I've seen one of these numbers listed as being before the DPF. My understanding is that sensor 3 is in the downpipes post DPF and sensor 4 is post cat (the one that looks like a real ****-ache to get to).

It has three sensors, B1S1 in the exhaust manifold turbo inlet (03L 906 088 KA), B1S3 in the top of the DPF (03L 906 088 HE) and B1S4 after the DPF (03L 906 088 HL). These are the latest superseded part numbers. These don't have a B1S2.

I've just replaced sensor 3, but this was after the DPF and before the flexi joint and cat, sensor 4 seems to be the one after the cat. A rescan showed that sensor 3 now has a realistic temperature at cold, so this was definitely one of the problems. I've just got to see if I can get to sensor 4 on my own, otherwise it'll have to go to the garage and up on a ramp.
For info, sensor 3 giving a reading of 999C when cold, measured as open circuit.

Sensor 3 is pre DPF, in the top right under your nose when you look in there

That doesn't appear to be the case for my car, the only sensor before the DPF (ie the bit clamped to the turbo) is the oxygen sensor. I've replaced what I think is sensor 3, under and slightly to the left of the turbo and the figures on the scan are now good, so it must be sensor 3.
Interestingly, the DPF light has now come on, could this be because of a temperature mismatch between sensors 3 and 4?
I wonder if it would regenerate in this condition?
I guess I need to replace the other sensor and quick...

Edit: Given that sensor 3 and 4 are perhaps not in the same positions as your source of info suggests, is sensor 4 likely to be 03L906088 HL ? The HE suffix for sensor 3 seemed to be correct though, at least it's working.

What I need is item number 4 in the image attached.
