With reference to a 2012 Touran 1.6L CAYC engine code vehicle.
    I'd appreciate some help folks!

Rear wiper, rear washer + front washer stopped, all share same circuit / fuse. I'm trying to identify wires and have Elsawin and found the rear wiper diagram, but I can't find a diagram / illustration of the 52pin connector block that goes into the ECU. It's J519 Onboard Supply Control Unit but I can't remember where to find the illustration of the actual connector block with the wire numbers of the connector pins, etc..

For instance, at the rear wiper motor there's 4 wires I'm trying to identify. I put 12v to the wiper motor connector Wire4 and earthed to Wire1 and it worked, so I know the motor is ok. It's an electrical / wiring issue. Fuse 29 is ok.
    Wire 1 = Brown = Earth
Wire 2 = Green/Red = ? (Windscreen + rear washer pump wire goes to Ecu, T52b/2) But what should I see on this wire when testing it, an earth, 5v, 12v?
Wire 3 = Green / White = ? (Windscreen + rear washer pump wire goes to Ecu,T52a/43) But what should I see on this wire when testing it, an earth, 5v, 12v?
    Wire 4 = Red = 12v.

I believe there is only 1 washer motor on this car at the front that also operates the rear washer jet, is this correct? If so, why is there 2 wires in the rear wiper motor connector related to the washer motor?
Can anyone tell me what the wires T52b/2 and T52a/43 should show upon testing and what Elsawin says about these wires in their connector block illustration, please?

My pic shows the 2 wires I'm referring to at the wiper motor that I'm trying to determine what they do? They are hardly just a 12v + earth to a washer motor?

HI Crasher, just reminding you, if you get time to check.

From searching and reading, I believe them other two wires no.2 + no.3 are a positive and a negative when the rear washer + front washer buttons of the wiper stalk are pressed.

Have you checked the wires in the roof to body conduit, we did a Golf 5 the other day where all six wires were broken. What makes it a real pain is they are all white so you have to carefully work out which is which.

I made a half hearted attempt to check the wires there, I had them break there on my golf v too but the conduits are further in from the edge on the Touran and they seemed hard to pull out unlike the golf and I ran out of time.

Also, I’m actually interested in troubleshooting it by probing the wires and testing them for what they should have, volts, ground, etc.

If I supply an earth and 12v to the rear washer wires no2 + no3 should the rear washer spray work?

Why does the rear wiper have its own 12v ignition switched wire directly from a fuse, why doesn’t it just have a single 12v wire from its motor to the switch and a specific 12v live from the fuse to the switch instead like how you’d wire up a spotlights and switch yourself.
