    Car: A3 1.6 TDI CAYC
Issue: DPF light is on but regen doesn't work and car is not in limp mode
So one day driving I got DPF light on but nothing happens. I tried to run regen while standing with VCDS and it finished intantly with "finished correctly". I turned on regen while driving and drove 30 mins with ~2500 RPM and nothing happens, light still stays on and soot mass measures & calculated keeps slowly climbing up.
    VCDS version: 22.3
Particle filter blocking: active (not sure what this means)

    Data from vcds:
    IDE00025 Coolant temperature 90 °C
    IDE00196-ENG100000 Engine oil temperature-TOIL 96 °C
    IDE00432-ENG103847 Particle filter: time since last regeneration-T_WOUT_RGN 41184.30 s
    IDE00433-ENG103279 Particle filter: oil ash volume-MASS_ASH_PF 48.4113032 g
    IDE00434-ENG102050 Particle filter: soot mass calculated-MASS_SOOT_SIM_PF 26.62 g
    IDE00435-ENG101197 Particle filter: soot mass measured-MASS_SOOT_PHY_PF 37.52 g
IDE00436-ENG102397 Particle filter: kilometers since last regeneration-DIST_RGN 341.9 km
    NO ENGINE FAULTS

Maybe someone has had similar experiene, seems that nothing works. I wonder if ash mass is too high and its time for change but then again car is working as usual, no limp mode, no faults, no nothing.

Ash over 40g, it won’t regen. The book says if you cheat the figures “warning, vehicle may burn down”. We would take the DPF off and send it to DPF Clean Team in Hinckley. When it is refitted, we fit and calibrate a new GENUINE only pressure sensor and then carry out a forced regen or service regen if the manure provides it.
