    So my fuel gauge has started to play up showed 1/2 a tank for far too long so filled it up gauge showed between 3/4 and full drove 400 miles and still shows 3/4 is there any fix for this as can't find a replacement sender unit
    97 Avant 1.9 tdi afn

    Sending unit has a broken wire, my import had this same issue, let me get you pics

    1998 a4 estate 1.9 AFN imported from the UK into the us
    Full to half was fine
    Half to 1/4 would work but would reset every keystart
    1/4 to empty didn't work
    I couldn't find a sending unit in the us, or a part number
    Couldn't figure it out, so I took mine out and fixed it
