Hi everyone.
If this is not the correct location please move my post.
I had the common high pressure fuel pump failure on my 3.0 tdi. I really love the Q5 and I decided I will try and repair it myself. (low budget repair)
Both a set of second hand injectors (x6), 1 second hand HPFP, took the fuel system apart and cleaned till it was spanking new.
Install a new fuel pump in the reservoir, new filter, and all the components. I coded the injectors, and there is no leak. There are no errors on the VAg-COM. I cranked the car, and there is fuel coming into the HPFP. There is nothing going back on the return pipe. the engine will not start, nor there is fuel going into the common rail. #
When i installed the HPFP pump, i took out the old one and put in the new one. Do i need to do the TIMING of the pump with the engine? Or the timing is done electronically? I have no other idea why i would not get fuel on the return line otherwise. (hopefully ) i did not destroy this one.

Do you have any idea how i could redo the timing ? for the engine and the pump

Kind Regards,
johny
