    Ey up one and all!
I've had a few VW's in my time (CC, Passat 1.6 Sport, Passat B8 SE Business and Now Passat B8 RLine 2L ) and all have had the same annoying rattle around the dash. Usually this is due to the metal clips that hold the trim in place BUT I cant seem to figure out how to remove the vent trim along the dash. Does anyone know how to remove it by any chance? The rattle seems to get worse the colder it is but lordy it drives me mad!!

Aye up, is tha from Yorkshire? The dash rattle is annoying and it does seem to be linked to changes in cabin temperature. It doesn't bother me enough to consider trim removal. A well aimed karate chop seems to stop mine rattling.

Im from Hebburn so not to far away from Yorkshire .
Tried the karate chop option but alas it hasnt helped and if anything made it worse haha!
If i knew how to remove the vent looking trim that goes along the dash i should be able to sort it.

So I have managed to get the vents off! Seems that the best way to get it off was using the trim removal tool on the end of the vent at the passenger end.

However, it seems that the rattle is in the dash somewhere! At first I thought it was the clips on the vent but the rattle is still existent with the vent off!

Anyone with any ideas would be much appreciated as it’s boxing my head in!!
