    Hi guys,

Has anyone used 225/65/17 wheels on a 2018 caddy maxi and is there enough room for clearance?

    Best wishes

There is a factory 17 which is 6 inches wide and that is fitted with a 205/50 R 17 93H XL so if you used a 7.5 or maybee 8 inch rim you would use a 225/45, 225/65 is nearly 14% larger where 2% is nearly the max

What's on at the moment? 205/55R16 or 205/50R17 maybe? If so why are you increasing both tread width and profile? Is it to try and get a more comfortable ride? I have 225/45R17 on our earlier model Touran, which is a standard fit according to the VW guides.

Thank you Crasher and VAG Abound for your advice. I wanted swamper tires which are quite thick so I had to forefit the desire for 17" and stick to 16" for it to fit

Swampers will tend to have deep walls / "high profile". 195/65R15 is a standard-ish Golf / Touran / Caddy fit and may be available with tread to suit you, but smaller rim of course which is the tradeoff for deeper walls.
