    Hi.

I've searched for this and found a few items I thought might resolve the issue, but no luck.

Currently only the 4 rear sensors work. The car has been in the garage, and they can't work it out either. The work they've done is:

    • removed front and rear bumpers, checked continuity and cables
      • all ok

    • installed new parking module
      • no change

    • removed sensors from rear, and put them in front, put front sensors in rear
      • still only the rear work

They have literally no idea what to try next. I'm a few hundred £'s down now trying to resolve it, but have hit a dead end.

The ACC doesn't work either, but as far as I can make out (from other similar threads), the two are unrelated. I believe the ACC will need a calibration of a further few hundred £'s.

I don't have VCDS so can't give any errors.

Any other ideas to try for the sensors? they very occassionally come back to life, for very brief moments, then they go again. I just have the orange ! on the front and two sides.
    It's a 13 plate MK7 golf ecoflex (1.6) if that's of any use?

Unless you can provide a VCDS scan of the whole vehicle or at the very least the codes stored on the PDC system there is little we can do. I am currently fighting the system on a Touran where the sensors and cameras will not work at all just because the PDC unit (which has been replaced) can't communicate with the ABS pump which I think I have narrowed down to the CAN BUS controller... yes it is complex.

Thanks - I'll ask around and see if I can get use of VCDS. I'm sure someone in work was saying they had it.

VCDS Scan Complete (although i think he's running an old version):

If I'm reading this right, it says there's an issue with the Parking Control Module?
That's been replaced last week. Is there a possibility a faulty PCU has been put in?

    Could it be a fuse?

It could be a damaged CAN bus wire, corroded terminal, etc. Or indeed lack of power, faulty module, etc.
