    Default Heat from Central Console / Gear stick – 03-08-2022,02:38 PM
    Hello!

    Was driving the B8 over the weekend and noticed a couple of hotspots against my leg from the centre console, plus the gear stick and cup holders seemed pretty warm as well. Drove about 2hrs or so.

    Is this normal and i just didnt notice before as i usually wear trousers on a longer drive, or is this a sign that possibly a heat shield or something has slipped? THere arent any rattles or anything.

    Car is on 158k now so wondering if its maybe DMF or gearbox related - i know heat comes off these under normal operation but not noticed it before.

    Sounds like it was doing a regen and strugglin, the DPF on non AdBlue cars can get to 850 centigrade in some cases.

    Anthropogenic climate change, the biggest con inflicted on mankind since religion...
