That is a Vehicle Intelligent Part and has to be ordered to VIN, they take about 10 days IF they have stock in Germany but with the current problems with chips...

That indeed is the issue. Not sure how many semi conductors are in the panel but must be a fair few. Additionally of course they will not be making new ones for UK production as all new build A6s now get the Virtual cockpit so it so it will presumably be a special request since it will need a UK MPH face plate.

Seems the delay is not that long and the car is booked in for the end of the month to have the panel replaced

Had to cancel trip to dealer today as I have tested positive for Covid. Now going in early November. Was really surprised when speaking to the dealer yesterday that the price of the new cluster is £1275. Glad it is under warranty. Got me thinking how much would a car cost if you bought all the parts individually. Assume it would be several times the cost of the car as sold new

If you bought a car from the parts department several times would not cover it plus you would have to paint and assemble it, I think a £20K off the shelf car would be £200k built from parts.

instrument panel was replaced last week and has resolved the indicator issue. The MMI was also "updated", but I am not fully convinced it has addressed all the issues. Still seems unable to receive destinations from MyAudi and looking at the version numbers etc they seem to relate to dates prior to when the car was built. Will see how it develops, but at the moment it is not enough to demand another trip to the dealer to resolve. I feel somewhat sorry for the service guys as they are totally in the hands of Audi as to which software updates then can apply to a car

Not sure he paid for there parts

Also as suspected the Navigation part of the MMI still has amnesia. Has forgotten Favourites and also previous destinations
