Please help with my "new" 2007 Q7 air suspension. I'm stressed.

First Post.

I bought my first ever audi last week - a q7 2007 3.0.

Today I got the Amber warning light. It won't go out. Suspension seems level and "normal" height in all four corners. But I can't change to off road /comfort/high etc.

I'm stressed that I have spent, what is for me, a lot of money and purchased a lemon.

Guy who I bought it said that it had been stood for 6 months.

Private sale. So no returns.

I've been searching this forum all afternoon but really need some advice.

What would be worse case scenario to get this fixed? I've read about new pumps, fuses, and valves.

It is a pity you didn’t ask on here first, the Q7 4L is turning into a nightmare of a money pit as it ages, the air suspension can reduce a seasoned Audi mechanic to tears… I have been fighting the similar system on a Touareg 2 last week and it is pushing me to my limit. If you have to pay someone to work on it for you please make sure they know the system and have the correct diagnostic equipment, VCDS will just about suffice but often we have to use the dealer system ODIS. Your first step is to get a VCDS code read carried out and get them to email you the scan so you can post it on here.
