Hi,

I have just had a safety recall for my S6, to replace the oils strainer which supplies the turbo's. I believe this is a known failure point on the 4.0 v8 twin turbo engine, which can lead to turbo failure.. or worse. It now booked in at dealership for end of August... earliest date they could give me. its apparently a 2 day job!
I'm guessing as with everything on this engine its impossible to get too without taking engine apart . I believe even changing injectors requires engine out... I had the oil pressure relief valve changed a few months ago thats a £58 part but bill was over £1000 (even at independant) as sub frame had to be dropped to get to it luckily my warranty covered it.

So I was thinking ive got 48k on the clock, are there any other jobs that could / should be done while they have the engine stripped??? maybe saving some time / money later.

Any advice more than welcome

Cheers

John
