    Hi All,

Reash Board Lit up like a Christmas Tree. Warning Lights?

After a 50 Mile drive I was slowing down on the approach to a roundabout . When loads of warning lights came on. See attached image please.204A03B3-D169-452E-BCC6-A8F550520E99.jpg:-

Any ideas what May have caused it please? I did try the switch engine and off. But no change.

    Thanks

I do not know. But prior to my drive. I’d done a 50 mile journey. The I put the battery on a maintenance charge for several hours. Which put it at about 80% charge. I then drove another 50 miles before the lights came on. Last month I had the front discs and pads changed. Thanks

What year is the car and can you post a picture of the top of the battery?

It’s 2016 2.0 Tdi with about 40000 miles. Will post a picture when I can. Thanks

NB: I would say it’s the original battery. But never abused and put on trickle charger, using smart charger. Photo added. If it is the battery, I’m perplexed as my wife’s car has had the same battery since 2010. Used as a little run around, battery never charged up.

Get a new Varta 096 AGM (part number 570901076D852) battery fitted AND importantly coded, then take it from there.

My car, a 2014 CC has recently developed similar hypochondria. Lots of amber lights, initially apparently related to the ABS, traction control etc. Recently it added the EPC and now the Engine Management light to the display. Leave the car eg overnight then re start and drive a short distance and all the lights go out (well, they did but now just the Engine Management light stays on). They may, or may not all come back on at some point in a journey… I’ve given up trying to predict. Took it in to a place to get the battery tested as it is the original battery and it came back as 85% capacity and 100% health and “can I ask why you brought it in?”
Should I start by getting the battery replaced anyway? Seems like it’s had a good innings. Or is there somewhere else on the car I should be looking?
