Do you have a VCDS scan from when it was working? The hardware / software versions in it would be helpful for checking things.

Totally different car, but like this showing various version info:

    Code:
Address 02: Auto Trans Labels: 02E-927-770.lbl
       Part No SW: 02E 300 044 D HW: 02E 927 770 AE
       Component: GSG DSG 081 1404
       Revision: 04608010
       Coding: 0000020

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have looked up a previous scan of the car that i've got saved and i found this:

Address 02: Auto Trans Labels: 0AM-927-769.clb
    Part No SW: 0AM 300 050 D HW: 0AM 927 769 D
    Component: GSG DSG AG7 403 2321
    Revision: 00040034 Serial number: TFK01101200161
    Coding: 0000020
    Shop #: WSC 01357 011 00200
    VCID: 2A5013AA859AFAD675-807E

Is that of any use at all?

    Thanks,

    Dean

Hi all, just a quick update for you all.

A few weeks ago I found a new Mechatronics from a company called Eco Torque. The guy I spoke to on the phone was very helpful (Dan), they send you instructions on how to refit and they also have a support line if you need any help once you've fitted it and have problems.

Anyway, I fitted it a couple of weeks ago and, initially, it didn't work. I took it off again and noticed that the pistons weren't moving freely. After moving them all in and out, and setting them at the desired 25mm, I refitted it. Having then followed the procedure on Vagcom, it's all working an absolute treat!

Thank you to all of you that replied and guided me through this process. It was far less stressful when I was armed with some information. It's really not as bad of a job as it sounds!
