    Hi all

I have a general memory of a post from a few years back where a chap had a problem with a comms cable(?) to the Q7 transmission rubbing on the chassis that ended up giving a problem. I have an intermittent comms error with the transmission that is becoming more frequent.
Can anyone recall or remembers this post.

    I can't find it!

    Thanks!

What error message do you see where? They may have mentioned it. If the in-forum search doesn't work try "site:VW Audi Forum - The #1 Volkswagen (VW) Forum Dedicated to the whole Volkswagen (VW) Group - Forum News message-words-here" in Google.

Many thanks for that. Just back from hols also & collected the Q7- e-tron now all repaired. It turned out there was a damaged canbus wire in a cable bundle in the gearbox area with an intermittent connection, thus causing random error messages: comms errors, clutch errors, NOX errors, all kinds of implausible stuff. I did suspect a wiring issue as the error usually happened when the car was active on the suspension:: a roundabout/ tight corner, etc. And the problem was getting more frequent, and the errors even more random. Quite a few hours labour in finding/ repairing this issue.
