I'm being nosey... What options or accessories do you have for your Touran?
Mine is an SE, so already had some options, plus mudflaps and a towbar, but also managed to get the window draft edgings, and the cool/hot box that fits in place of the center seat.
    What else was available?

    Which era?

I think the following count on ours...
    - Heated front seats
    - Roof bars
    - Flexible load liner

Mine is a T1, but any era really.
Didn't know they could have had heated seats.
We did have a dog guard and a 50/50 divider to separate dog from shopping or another dog if necessary.

The option I'd like to retro fit is the winter pack warmer that can use the (diesel) auxiliary heater to pre-warm car. Not available in UK AFAIK, but the relevant extra parts pop up on euro eBay sites occasionally.

I had a skim of the PR codes for the two Tourans that we've had for "oh yes, that was handy" items. Some of these are probably region standard fit, but may have varied by year:

    • RNS510 satnav / radio (plus retrofit mobile phone kit)
    • Multi-Function Steering Wheel - works great with phone kit for talking a number to call
    • Collapsing passenger seat backrest (pull level on side, creates flat-ish carrier space front to rear)
    • Raising / latching front armrest
    • Under seat drawers
    • Lights in inner face of doors (to show open door to approaching traffic - rather than reflectors)
    • Sunroof
    • Rear parking beeps
    • Interior / towing alarm
    • Tinted rear glass
    • Rain sensor for wiper (I actually don't like this much - preferred the other style of manual control on intermittent wipe)

I like the idea of the collaspable backrest, daughter had one in her mk1 Fusion I thought it very useful.
I met a chap called Kjeld from Denmark a while back (2010ish), he could start his aux heater - and the car - from his mobile phone long before smart phones and apps were a thing. No idea how it was done though.
I've had to go and look and you're right. They're reflectors, not lights! I have got lights in the inner face of the door and just assumed the others were a light as well.

The aux heater thing has various ways of being started. I'd have been happy with the "pop to car and press button on a/c panel" rather than messing with radio control - in the bottom half of middle control here: VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT B6 05-10 HEATER AND AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL PANEL 1K0907044BC | eBay

    I found another:

    • Bracket for folding table on back of front seats has a "curry hook". Not on earlier models - not sure if it was standard after a certain time.

Good grief! I'd forgotten about the curry hooks. They were described as such on a long deceased forum (ClubTouran) many years ago, so a more important question - where does that description come from?

I learned the name on Club Touran, and remember you being there.

The Touran we had at the time didn't have these useful sounding hooks. And I only spotted them yesterday on the newer one that we've had for a decade!
