My 07 ASB 3.0 diesel has developed a stepped power delivery.

As my swirl flap motors have started to show signs of failure ( the occasional money light and and no response to an output test) i thought it best to get them removed and a stage one while i am mapping them out.

one company (black line performance) has came back with a quote of £345 - both swirl flaps and EGR need physically sorted before hand.
Another company (auto tune NI) has said £240 and he suggested that the swirls flaps don't need out come out and he will blank the EGR if necessary. The later company is better known (to me) hosting club days for a local audi club.

I was opting for Auto tune before getting the price but the cheaper price has put me off lol
I suppose he is right - these engine don't swallow the flaps so whats the harm? I think i would get the EGR done as the stepped power delivery could be loss of boost out there?

anyone have any thoughts?

they would both be off the shelve maps as there is nothing being done that hasn't been before.

Thanks
