Q7 3.0tdi bug no start

Hello
I have bought a Q7 from Copart that needs some work. I stupidly thought it was a runner with suspension issues. However the car has not run. I will make a shortlist below of work done and see if anyone has any ideas as any help will be appreciated.

So work as follows,

Car scanned with VCDS and found a J17 fault, found a broken wire under the relay which was fixed and problem persisted. Checked the in tank pump and found one of the suction pipes was loose from it’s fitting to the lift pump. Upon further inspection I found the same wire to be broken on the ecu side of the loom. With that fixed I was getting power to the lift pump.

Ran the pump a few times with VCDS to bleed the fuel system. This was not getting rid of the air in the clear feed to the hpfp. So after a bit of Googling I got to the point of bleeding the fuel system manually whilst the engine is cranked. First the right rail (looking from the front) then the left rail. This cleared the air from the hpfp feed line.

With this I was getting 0.0 or 7.1bar on the when reading the mvb.

Fitted a new fuel filter (Mahle) and re bleed the fuel system. Upon inspection there was no swarf in the filter

Car still wouldn’t start.

Whilst cranking builds pressure upto 500+bar

When the pressure gets high enough I can hear the injectors click as they fire.

Tried the car on easy start and got it to fire but cuts out straight away so not sure fuel is getting to the injectors.

Tried a new starter (will do a write up if any interest) as the car was cranking slowly 120-150rpm. Still no change much better crank.

I don’t have any pressure gauges so can’t measure actual pressure.

Car doesn’t lock of the keys remote fob. I have ordered a pick set so I can remove the drivers door lock (seems stuck solid) so I can try and get the key to code. Hopefully this will rule out immobiliser (no lights on dash)

So next I am going to measure the resistance on the n276 to see if that’s in spec

Has anybody got any ideas?
