A6 C7 trailer prep issue

Evening all,

I’m having an issue fitting a dedicated trailer electric kit to my allroad. I have located the red plug that goes into the loom without issue however the instructions make mention of the CAN 2 pin connectors in the loom that require attaching, so far I have not been able to find these and would be grateful of a pointer. Please see attached image.

On my C7 avant they where above the wheel arch, further up the loom towards the fuel flap, think the same for my C7.5 Allroad. It'll have a diagram on the westfalia instructions normally.

Did you have to code yours too Kev?

Yeah coded mine on the Allroad myself with OBD11, I did a lot of research to find out which modules to code and what to change, did it via long coding, but that was nearly 4 years ago now so have no idea exactly what I changed. I do know the tailgate now doesn't open fully if something is plugged into the trailer socket unless you use the button on the outside of the tailgate.
From memory the chassis control was programmed, 5F module, ABS, engine control, module 69 is trailer module. I had a good look on the VCDS forums and a lot of googling. Ill try find my crib sheet of what I changed.

Many thanks. I had VCDS before I moved to Canada, upon my return I appear to have misplaced it, I've just ordered OBDeleven so any pointers would be appreciated.

My OBDeleven has arrived, I’m more familiar with VCDS which I no longer have, any assistance regarding coding, particularly [19] would be appreciated, no lights working on the trailer.

Is your Allroad pre facelift or post facelift?

It’s a pre facelift (2013). I’ve ironed out most of the creases. Trailer lights work, no longer have air suspension fault and car fog light disable, parking sensors and MMI screen behaving as they should, just want to double check I havn’t left anything out.
Can’t seem to add the trailer option to brakes, only one I know hasn’t been completed. And I can’t log into the trailer module but everything works.
