Hi, i'm having problems getting to the bottom of what readings i should be expecting for a barn door MAF test on the 1991 Coupe GT. I've got 562 ohm on pins 3-4 which presumably is the full length of the resistive strip, bit it's what's on pins 2-3 the variable pins that's the issue. The closed reading is 612ohm and the fully open reading is 500ohm. In between it's wildly unstable and nothing like linear, midscale values are around 1.3k.

I think it's had it, but can anyone confirm this diagnosis?

If it's had it can i have a recommendation for a service/refurb centre please? I have to confess i know of none. On the 944 barn door MAF you can sometimes bend the wiper onto a different part of the strip to sort it out, anyone attempted this?

    Thanks.

Blimy, a long time since anyone was on here with a 3F. Pop the cap off and check the strip is not worn through to the board.

I've shifted the board closer to the pivot, thereby setting it to wipe on another part of the surface, it seems better. I'd really like to know what values i need to be seeing.
